Dr. Hines treats patients with obstructive sleep apnea, excessive daytime fatigue, restless leg syndrome and narcolepsy. Dr. Hines is also well versed in parasomnia, circadian rhythm sleep disorders and has a special interest in sleep disorders experienced by women and children.

Johnnie A. Westerfield

Nurse practitioner Westerfileld is a native of Jackson, MS.  He obtained his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1999.  Post-graduate studies were completed at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in 2011. The Master of Science in nursing degree with emphasis as a Family Nurse Practitioner was achieved. The degree was presented with honors and Nurse practitioner Westerfield was awarded the Elizabeth Ann Coleman Award for excellence in the clinical role.  He is a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC.  Nurse practitioner Westerfield brings with him a vast knowledge of primary care along with a strong background in critical care and emergency medicine. Nurse practitioner Westerfield has a strong personal interest in the treatment of sleep disorders and works directly with Dr. Brenda Hines to provide a complete treatment plan.  Nurse practitioner Westerfield looks forward to serving you and your family and offers a flexible appointment schedule.

Melissa Lawson, B.S., RPSGT

Technical Coordinator

Ms. Lawson has 0ver five years experience working as a technician in sleep medicine and is registered with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists. Melissa has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Mississippi College and has experience administering polysomnographic testing to all ages from infants to older adults.
