In 1993, Dr. Hines became interested in sleep medicine during residency in psychiatry at UMC.

Meet Our Staff


Dr. Brenda Hines

MD

Dr. Brenda Hines is a native of Yazoo City, and now resides in Madison, MS. She graduated from Yazoo City High School in 1971. She graduated from Mississippi State University in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. She later graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine with a Doctorate of Medicine in 1982. Dr. Hines trained at the University Medical Center in Pediatrics, and Family Medicine from 1982 until 1985. After practicing medicine in Yazoo City, she later returned to the University Medical Center where she trained in Psychiatry from 1992 until 1995. She became Board Certified in Psychiatry and Neurology, and remains boarded in Psychiatry and Neurology. She has served as a staff psychiatrist in various Psychiatric institutions across the state of Mississippi. She now limits her practice to sleep medicine.


In 2013 she became Board Certified in Sleep Medicine. Currently she is the staff sleep physician at Somnus Sleep Clinic, where she has practiced for over 10 years. She treats patients with all types of sleep disorders, including Obstructive and Central Sleep Apnea, Narcolepsy, Hypersomnia, Insomnia, Parasomnias, REM Behavior Disorder, and Restless Leg Syndrome. 


Her Professional memberships include the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Psychiatry, the Mississippi Psychiatric Association, the American Medical Association, and the Mississippi Medical Association. 


Madison Aycock 

PMHNP-BC

Madison Aycock is from Flowood, MS and a graduate of Hartfield Academy. She attended undergrad at Mississippi State University where she was a part of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and a volunteer for the Mississippi State Student Health Union. It was during her time as a volunteer she learned her passion for healthcare and mental health and wanted to pursue a degree in nursing. She graduated from Hinds CC nursing school where she was a part of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and graduated with an RN degree. As a registered nurse she worked in the areas of critical care as well as psychiatric/mental health nursing. She later decided to further her education at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing where she was a part of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing. Mrs. Aycock is board certified by the ANCC as a Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Her passion is providing holistic patient centered care while addressing and treating mental health needs, as well as sleep disorders. She currently resides in Morton, MS with her loving husband and dog.



C. Beth Clingan

NP-C

Catherine “Beth” Clingan graduated from The University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and immediately began her career as a RN at UMMC. While working at UMMC, Beth also earned her Master of Science in Nursing and was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.


Upon graduating with her Master’s in 2018, she was board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner. Beth prides herself in taking the time necessary to establish more personal relationships with her patients and loves the reward of helping her patients achieve their goals of restful nights and quality sleep. She treats Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Central Sleep Apnea, Narcolepsy, Insomnia, and Restless Leg Syndrome among other sleep disorders.


She was born and raised in McComb, Mississippi, and now resides in Madison with her husband and their three children. Outside of work, Beth enjoys serving her community, playing tennis, and spending quality time with her family.


Linda Turner

FNP-BC
